Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I too was upset with the new points for treats. My little weight watchers mini cakes used to be 2 points and now they are 4 or 5. I do wear a fitbit and the extra activity points add up fast with that. I hated the new point system, liked points plus better and did very well at that. I think I have learned to navigate with the additional activity points. I got an extra 8 today. That is the weight watchers ice cream cone that used to be 4 but now is 8 lol. In the supermarket they are still selling the mini cakes with the "2" points on the box. I can understand we need to limit our sweets but for me, that is my indulgence and yes now in the new system I feel punished.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I like it lost 22 pounds since September 26th. I was a little shocked with the new system but have learned to work around it with the fitbit activity points.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I started Smart Points on December 13th, and as of yesterday have lost 9 pounds. I am not having any problems with the app. Bananas are 0 points. I just looked up Nestle Hot Cocoa , and all versions show 4 to 5 points for one cup. I have enjoyed some sweets since Dec. 13th, thumbprint type, and 3 different Cheryl's Christmas cookies. Tonight I had 3 steak fresco style tacos with extra tomatoes for 12 points. My smart phone is a Samsung tracfone bought here at QVC. I downloaded the app and it has worked fine. I do attend the meetings, and feel that is the only way for me to go. Good luck to all who are wanting to lose weight. For me, WW has always been the way to go.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I really like Oprah and never missed a show, but if the new WW website is anything like her own website, then I can see your aggrevation.  i will rarely go on her website anymore because it's so hard to navigate (not to mention the ads and the fact you have to "flip" from page to page for the info you want).

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

@Tissyanne: The Nestle points are for JUST the mix; add in the points for the milk (if you use milk) and it jumps up very quickly. There is a long thread on the W community board about the Nestle cocoa ad a very upset member who indulged nt knowing the points since it used to be much lower under the old system.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I was thinking of using WW online only.   It sounds like it isn't really working.  What do y'all thing, is it a waste of time right now?  How bad is it?

Does anyone know the name of any other online programs that might be working better?

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

8 ounces of Fairlife Skim milk is 2 Smart Points. If you added this to the Nestle Hot Cocoa it would be 6 points. I believe the milk is already in the mix, and you just add hot water. At any rate, the points are not 17.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I'm not joining at this time.  The reviews I read were just awful for the online plan.  Apparently the data isn't being stored.  I'll cross my fingers the tech people figure out what the issues are and fix them soon.

I think that's probably a wise choice.  I'm ready to call them and tell them to cancel my membership, refund my money and I'll join when they get the kinks worked out.

Yes, they are, but ok. The fact is there are many different versions of the Nestle Hot Cocoa mix. Also, Starbucks has one that is 38 points. Duncan Donuts has one for 21.

Milk went WAY up in points so those of us on it before the new program didn't worry so much about hot cocoa; even with whole milk, it wasn't a bad amount of points. Now....

The thing is, you can't assume with ANY product anymore; they differ so much. And unless you are 100% sure they're using skim milk, you really have to be careful. (the thread on the WW was discusses how skim milk and water didn't needed to be used as milk was 0-2 points in the past. VERY different from the new program)
