New Job Ended Before It Started

I was supposed to start new job today but when I arrived was told they did not have volume of work expected and could not use me. This was a customer service job. I left a lower paying job to take this better paying job. I am extremely upset especially because they did not even have the common courtesy to call me so I drove 45 miles round trip for nothing. I guess if that is the kind of company they are maybe I am better off. now I have to start all over again. i d
