Thank you, @BalletBabe !  I though of you while I was in the chair awaiting the procedure, and that you had said it was easier than in years past.

You are absolutely right!  Aside from the discomfort of having my mouth propped open very widely it was quick, easy, and painless.  Not at all like the ones I have had done in decades past.

Plus I'd love to go out and have a beer with the doctor.  Nice guy, and his office was pretty and the staff was superb. All in all, a great experience.  Thank you for chiming in and setting a better expectation for me.  It really helped.

@Sweetbay magnolia   Oh I am so glad to hear that.   Now it is over you can celebrate!    My DR. was cute!  It helps to have a cute Dr.  They have to get to close to your face and a ugly Dr. makes me uncomfortable.  LOLOLOL

I sure hope he doesn't sing.  With Covid, he should be keeping his mouth shut.  Yes, I'm aware he wears a mask.  Doesn't matter.

Implants are horribly expensive , l just had one done ,$5450 dollars for 1 tooth ! Holy cow , hope l don't need any more ! If it wasn't for the stimulus payment and my husband gave me his too , l would not have been able to get it done ! How do ordinary people afford this ?

@Carmie  I can relate.  Over $3000  last year and  this year, so far, $4000.  DH thinks dental insurance is a rip-off but I'm beginning to wonder?  I have a little mouth too and I just tell them when I need the props.  Actually my mouth starts quivering so badly that they gladly oblige me. I'm told that some "older" people  even have to be put totally under.
