Oh brother.  An old filling has cracked on the very back molar up top and I need a crown.

Yes, I am fortunate to be in the hands of a capable dentist but oh boy, I do not look forward to the bulldozer rummaging around close to the nerve.  My mouth is small and there is usually a prop to hold it open enough so he can work back there,  Ouch.  Maybe it will stretch some of the fine lines and wrinkles out.

Ouch. I hate the dentist, but I'm in the process of getting some implants which is a long process. Good luck.

I can't complain, @catter70 !  I think implants would be much worse.  Good luck to you!

My dentist plays music and sings, and that helps.

@Sweetbay magnolia Having a small mouth really complicates even the simplest procedure like a routine cleaning. I understand since my mouth is small with a flat palate (most seem to have an arch). If I had a dollar for every time the dentist said open wider, I could pay for your crown.

Good luck! I know you will be happy when it is finished.

Been there, done a few myself. Not fun, I have two really old w/cracks on watch as well. I just know they'll want to do both at the same time. UGH

Good luck, it'll be okay,

I ask for a child-sized block, @Sweetbay magnolia.  Good luck with the new crown.

Thanks, @tansy .  There has been some pretty good pain with others.  That nerve and the drill . . . shivers.

I guess we go on!  I know, I could be in a position to not be able to have this fixed.  Maybe I'll take some OTC pain relief before I go.
