Need advice on medialert systems

Living alone I've finally decided that I need one of the medialerts you wear for my family's peace of mind and my safety. Hard decision. So many choices and recommendations are always good. But I'm looking at a Costco sponsored one for $114. and if you pay yearly after the free 6 mos, it comes to $19.95 a month. This one has a 600 ft range, waterproof, and US based help with EMTs, etc. Any suggestions?
