I'm feeling better now but I've had a stressful few days. LastBut Wednesday there was a fire in the top floor condo. The fire alarms on the first floor where I am never went off. I noticed fire engines outside and opened my door to see smoke and firemen rushing upstairs with the hoses. The fire was confined to the third floor but we got water damage in the kitchen and dining area. It was runningike a waterfall. I'm thankful that it was only on the left side of my kitchen where the fridge is. There was no water where my stove, cabinets, counter and all my appliances are. No damage to my dining set which is glass with leather chairs. There are two huge humidifiers and a heater drying out the kitchen floor, ceilings, carpet, inner walls. I think they have to dry out before they begin the repair and restoration. On Thursday morning I had to go to court to testify in a friend's case. It was a personal injury case from years ago. She fell through a porch. Long story. This was the trial. It was upsetting thinking about the fire and that whole court thing. I hadn't been able to get in my kitchen so I didn't eat. My nephew drove me but he had to be at work at 1pm so I was going to take Uber back home. He left me at 12, my friend and her attorneys left. I was waiting for my Uber when I went to the bathroom and suddenly felt like I was having a stroke. I was conscious and could speak but I was nauseous, headache, tingling in my arms and it was hard to walk. Dragged myself out to the lobby. Court officers called ambulance. I was taken to emergency room which was just 5 minutes away. Got there at 1pm and was discharged at 9pm. I have afib so they did ecg, cardiac ultrasound, heart monitor in addition to a ton of lab work. My symptoms had resolved within a few hours. They couldn't find a reason so it was called pre syncope. Probably from stress and not eating since the day before. Hubby is an RN but he was up in Maine visiting his elderly parents for a few days. I didn't tell him until he came home on Saturday. He went up to assess his father who his mom thinks is exhibiting Alzheimer's symptoms so he needed to be there. I had family with me. I did feel a little shaky until yesterday when I felt like my normal self. I have an appointment with my own PCP office on Friday. My PCP is on vacation until mid January and I wanted to hold off for her but the scheduler insisted that I come in this week and see one of the other doctors. I didn't do any baking or holiday cooking. My niece is doing Christmas dinner. I had a tray of Italian cookies delivered, I'll take that. Hubby is picking up Chinese food and we'll have that tonight while we watch Christmas movies. Hubby said his dad seemed fine to him. He's 87 in pretty good health for 87. A little forgetful but mostly about where he put things like his glasses or his tablet or the remote. Otherwise his thought processes seemed fine for 87.

Wow you have been through it. I am sorry to hear but glad you feel better now. I am glad you went to the hospital and got checked out, one less worry. Take care and let others cater to you for a while.

@chrystaltree. You're not having a rip-snorting fun holiday season. I suppose you'll now have a construction mess to contend with.
Anyway, I hope you continue to feel okay and there are no more crises in your life.
You and hubby have a happy holiday.

Sorry to hear all you went thru this week, but hoping it's been resolved. I'm glad your hubby is home with you now. Enjoy your chinese food and Christmas dinner and Christmas dinner with family.

@chrystaltree Glad you are feeling better. What I take away from this horrible time for you is that your friend left you to find your own way home. She should have provided transportation for you or at least waited with you for your ride. I find her extremely rude.

We don't live anywhere near each other now. We lived across the street from each other when that accident happened. She lives about 75 miles away from me now. We both moved away. That's why my nephew drove me and I assumed would take me home. I didn't know he had to go to work in the afternoon and at a different location further away from where I Iive.

I’m so sorry this happened to you!
What a scare! WOW
Glad to hear they let you come home (after 8 hours of tests--- exhausting, I’m sure!)
Why do these things always happen when our loved ones are out of town?
Hoping your hubby is safely home now.
Good to know he didn't perceive any signs of Alzheimer's in his dad.
I'm sending you wishes for a wonderful Christmas tomorrow...I hope all is well from here on out.
Good luck at your follow-up appointments.
Happy Christmas Eve!
