I am having a bad allergy season this year and the doctor gave me a sample of and a prescription for Nasonex. He said he is worried my hay fever is going to trigger my asthma if I don't get it under control. He wrote for 5 refills of the Nasonex. So I was reading about it and it is an inhaled steroid - hydrocortisone. It is working well to control the allergies but if anyone is using this - how long do you use it? The doctor said to use it daily and not miss a day but I can't stay on cortisone forever so how long do you use it and then don't you have to taper off it? I called to ask the doctor some questions about it but he is on vacation to the Phillipines for a few weeks, and the office is closed. I hate to bother the doctor who is taking his emergency calls.
