Narrow Wheel Chair

I'm sure this is a problem others have run into. My father is coming home soon. His regular wheelchair is too big for some of the doors in the house. Other than a transport wheelchair (which someone else has to push or taking off doors), has anyone found a good adult size (17" or 18" seat) that is narrow and will go through narrow doors? Any other solutions would be welcome also. Thank you so much!
