Hello Everyone:

You may remember my post from a couple weeks ago about a recurring uti for 4 months.

I finally went to a urologist and they cultured my urine for a second time and he found out that plain old Amoxicillin would work best. Well, they started me on it last Wednesday, and I took another Urinalysis yesterday and he said that that it was clear. I have a 2 week supply so the doctor told me just to finish the medication and hopefully that it would be the end of it.

Something so simple as Amoxicillin? I have been prescribed Cipro, Suptra, Bactrim, Macrobid, a shot of something I don't know what it was. He was also talking about how Amoxicillin works on gram positive and gram negative bacteria, and that it was different than E.Coli bacteria.

Amazing. I am amazed. I also started the d-mannose last week to hopefully prevent future infections that many of you have suggested I use.
