And we've got four games this weekend. Up first on Saturday are the Chiefs at the Colts. Weather won't be a factor in this game, but I'm thinking the hometown fans will be a factor. I'm picking the Colts in this one. The Chiefs could win it, but my gut says the Colts pull it out.

Game two on Saturday is the Saints at the Eagles. I think the weather will be a factor here. Having spent three plus hours out shoveling snow today, I can vouch that it's very cold locally. When you don't live/practice in this type of weather and then you find yourself playing football in this type of weather, there's a big adjustment. The ball feels different, the field feels different. The weather becomes a distraction. Distractions kill teams. I've got the Eagles winning this one and I wouldn't be shocked to see it be a pretty easy win. The Saints are tired of everyone saying they can't play in the cold and will play hard, but the Eagles are a pretty nicely balanced team. The Jimmy Graham matchup is a challenge, but this Eagle defense has faced lots of big challenges and generally risen to the occasion. We may see Chip Kelly roll out a few new twists in his offense too.

On Sunday we start out with the Chargers at the Bengals. The last four years the team that played the Eagles in their home opener went on to win the Super Bowl. San Diego played the Eagles in thier home opener this year. That should mean the Chargers will make the Super Bowl this year. I just don't see it though. I'm picking the Bengals in this game.

And finally we have San Francisco at Green Bay. I'm sticking with my trend of picking the home teams and taking Green Bay here. The weather will once again be a big factor in this game. The experts keep talking about Kaepernick rushing for a lot of yardage against the Packers, but I'm thinking the Packers will have a spy assigned to him to limit that damage. I'm taking the Packers.

I hope you're right about the Packers, Gman. We'd love to see a win here in Green Bay! Hope your Eagles win, too!

Where has this season gone.....

Let's see how I do with playoffs .....

Chiefs/Colts-with all the storms brewing there is no place like dome--going with young Andrew Luck and the COLTS

Saints/Eagles---Saints going with comfort foods with lots of carbs, and especially warm uniforms (according to Coach Sean Payton).....but I think I will still go with the PRIDE OF THE NFC EAST---EAGLES (BTW GARDENMAN did you see how Jerry wants to expand the number of playoff teams......the only way the Cowboys will ever get in---{#emotions_dlg.glare}).

Chargers/Bengals-weather will definitely be a factor---the Chargers are a fiesty surprise team---but I just think the Bengals are too balanced for the Chargers to overcome---and also my cat FIGGY's team---BENGALS!

49ers/Pack--the Pack should be at home in the frozen tundra of Green Bay....but can Rodgers maintain a passing game in freezing temps---the 49ers are more balanced but can these northern Californians handle the cold---But I am concerned with the Packers defense---Im going with the 49ers

Well Good Luck everyone! ......I have to go off to work...TTYL

That was a dismal first half for the Colts. The good news is they're bound to be better in the second half. Will they be good enough to overcome a 21 point deficit? Probably not, but we'll have to see.

This is now going to be Andrew Luck's game to win. Trent Richardson's fumble has made him the goat of the year for the Colts fans. I'm pretty sure they were planning on using the running game a lot in this matchup, but with a 21 point deficit, they've pretty much got to throw the ball. Trent Richardson is on very, very shaky ground right now. He can't make any more mistakes or he may find himself out of football.

I hope Indy beats KC (whose loss last week in SD eliminated My Steelers).

Looking forward to the Eagles beating up the Cowboys! Is Tony Romo playing? I enjoy watching him curl up into the fetal position when he's about to be sacked...
