I am worried since his appointment was at 11.30 AM.
Have not heard from him yet.
This test is done with taking blood out,and reinserting it back.
This shows the rate of heart working.
My dh was in the hospital this past winter. He was bleeding internally, and was in CCU for over a week incubated.
Thank goodness he survived. He also did have a heart attack during that period.
His has a history of blocked arteries, and had 5 blocked arteries, over 11yrs ago.
He was diagnosed with AF last year. As an out patient as hospital they did a conversion to get the heart rate at a normal pace.
The med's that were perscribed did not agree with him.
He was put on Coumidin, and was on it for about 8 months. He hated being tested on a regular basis. Also having to watch his VIT K produce.
The new drug Padaxa was introduced to USA mid late fall. His cardio Dr felt he would do well with it.
He was on it for a couple of months when he had a bleeding issue. He was told to stop it,and was tested in hospital and released.
Sorry going on too much.
They are not too sure if it was the Pradaxa or possibly having Plavix along with it.
He had been on Plavix since his by-pass and did well on the Drug.
Anyone have this test, and can comment??
Thanks,lovestodance
