I am 53 and still have my wisdom teeth. I only have three. My dentist recently filled some small cavities in them. After that work was done I began having problems biting my cheek on the left side (where I have two wisdom teeth) so he adjusted the bite and since then it has been fine. But now he just keeps on telling me I need to go ahead and have them taken out. I don't see the need as long as they are not bothering me. His spiel is that they will eventually shift and cause the same problem again. I know it's not a piece of cake to have this surgery at my age. And why did he go ahead and do the fillings if he thought I needed to have them out? hmmmmm.............
