As most of you know I supplement my body every week. When I started this process 6 years ago my levels were around 600. As much as I complain I know its a good thing. It keeps me healthy

Can you explain why you need to supplement your IGG and what product or medication you use? Don't want to sound nosey so don't respond if too personal. Just very unknowledgable about this topic.

@Growing It keeps me from getting sick if you have lower IGG levels like around 600 you risk getting sick

@Growing IgG stands for Immunoglobulin G.  There are also other Immunoglobulins designated by other letters.  It has to do with your immune system.  You typically may get an elevated IgG following a vaccine or when you have an infection.  If you chronically have low igG levels, you would be considered Immunocompromised.  If they're chronically elevated, you could have an autoimmune disorder.  Hope that helps.

That is not a test that is included in my yearly physical.

@Icegoddess It is very rare to have low IGG and the treatment is very patient specific

@I am still oxox I was just trying to give Growing an explanation as to what IgG is and that it isn't necessarily something that is commonly tracked.  My blood goes to the Cleveland Clinic, so what I get back is what they typically track.

Re: My IGG level is 1254

[ Edited ]

I took IgG treatments to boost my immune system when I was still teaching. I went monthly for my infusion via a regular IV drip in my arm. It can also be administered through a chest port if you already have one or want to get one.

IgG is one of 5 classes of immunoglobulins or antibodies (IgG, IgA, IgM, IgE, IgD). Each has a special role and location. IgG is the most abundant antibody in human blood playing a critical role in secondary immune responses. It identifies and neutralizes bacteria, viruses, and toxins and provides long term immunity. Your doctor can check your Ig numbers by drawing blood.

Glad your numbers are better and you're staying healthy. Best Wishes to You!
