I have had Afib for about 7 years. I used to have scary episodes pretty often.  I've been taking Flecanide ever since twice a day.  The episodes have lessened over the years but still feel them coming on now and then.

The Cardiologist has been suggesting a pacemaker.  Not fond of that thought but maybe in the future.

I hope you get relief, it's worrisome and interferes with a busy life.

My DIL 2 weeks ago, she was put on a high doze blood thinner and got a bloody nose last weekend, ended up in the ER and they stopped the bleeding with a spray of cocaine up her nose.I guess this stops bleeding, never heard of this before. She;s fine now. You learn something new everyday!

My husband has A-FIB, has had the procedure two times to try and 'fix' him.  Neither time worked.

Hopefully you have better luck @chrystaltree .

  1. I had a cardioversion procedure.  They shock your back into normal rhythm.  Sounds worse than it is.  It took 10 minutes.  It did work.  I don't know when I went into Afib again.  I was fine when I had my physical in July.  It will be either another cardioversion or ablation.
