Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

On Tuesday my husband will be having minimally invasive spine surgery. He has suffered for a year with terrible pain, tingling in his leg..a host of miserable symptoms. He tried just about everything short of surgery. At first the epidural cortisone shots helped but no longer. Nothing else even came close to helping. In any case, the doc will make a small incision and clean out the disc identified by the MRI causing the trouble. My question is are any of you familiar with how one feels afterwards? We have info on the procedure as well as what to do and not do afterwards but I'm curious as to how you actually felt. Thanks.
