A close friend had a number of TIAs in her 30s while dealing with other medical issues (she has a rather rare kidney condition.) Her doctor told her she was lucky she had the mini strokes. Because of them the doctors closely monitored her. They said in some cases mini strokes can be a blessing because they are a warning sign of the possibility of a more serious stroke. She recovered quickly and now years later you would never know she ever had a problem.
