Glad you will change your routine. Metformin does not work correctly unless taken as directed. NEVER on an empty stomach Smiley Happy

My stomach was never able to adjust to the metformin.  I hope yours will, @demanda.

I checked with my endocrinologist and was told it was dependent on the patient. Some patients have mild diabetes (type 2) and can go hypoglycemic without eating. It does work, however, whether you eat or not. The action is to lower blood glucose. It accomplishes that without food.
