Optimism is far and away #1 at all times regardless if it is a good day or a bad day, the long run is all that really matters. From those I personally know that have had this surgery, and my friend the Ortho Doctor that specializes in knees and hips, meniscus tear scope surgeries seldom, almost never, end with bad results.
It is normal to be apprehensive, more for some than for others. I personally have had so many things done to my poor body, to me it is just another day, another proceedure.
You will be just fine. Follow the post-op instructions as given and you will do well.
