I think it's harmless to clarify the definition of meat when you're talking about being meatless.

Doesn't have to mean taking "a bad turn".

I personally define meat as the flesh from any being with a face.

What I meant in my post was how nasty things can get here with comments ...in saying taking a bad turn I meant the responses some people get ot their opinions .

@tansywrote:

I would suggest not to turn *meatless monday* into macaroni and cheese day😏

@tansy

At my house it's carrot cake day - a client brought me a piece of hisi homemade carrot cake this morning.

He said it had a LOT of carrots in it and called the frosting "dressing".

@Big Joanie

There looks to be differing opinons about that.

It's O.K. to express differing opinions, I think.  Of couse, we don't all have to agree.

Great suggestion @lolakimono!

When I was pursuing a plant based diet I found a meal that I even prefer to meat based cooking......black beans and rice. I do need a lot of extra insulin to eat it but I enjoy it so much that it is worth it to me. I have also found a lot of Mexican food that does not require a meat base and the corn tortillas I love with a mixture of vegetables are gluten free. Love Pico de Gallo too...

I often go meatless - but there are times I must have a giant, big, juicy burger or tacos or wings or Italian sausage in sauce.  Meatballs, hmmm .

It's so easy to go meatless now.  There are sustitutes for everything available (some are healthy, some are not so it's best to read labels).  Meat-free is wonderful for the planet and wonderful for health.
