If I remember correctly, Catholics eat fish on Friday.

Fish is meat, so it wouldn’t be eaten on #MeatlessMonday.

@sidsmom

No ... you are a bit confused.   We (Catholics) don't have to eat fish on Friday.

We don't eat "meat" ... defined as the flesh and organs of mammals and fowl.

Cool.

I don’t know much about structured religion, but I do know fish is

a body of a living thing w/ eyes. In terms of being 100% vegetarian,

fish is not eaten. So in the spirit of #MeatlessMondays, fish wouldn’t be

consumed.

In the Roman Catholic world meat is considered from a warm blooded animal.  Therefore fish is allowed.

I'm thinking that meatless Mondays is to make people just look at substituting meat with something else once/week, not eliminating meats entirely

Great idea and I am all for it. However, I will have to start next a Monday since I have so much ham leftover from Easter Woman Happy

I think it's harmless to clarify the definition of meat when you're talking about being meatless.

Doesn't have to mean taking "a bad turn".

I personally define meat as the flesh from any being with a face.

For some people, sure.  For others, it's a jump start to eating less and less meat and for even others, the first step in eliminating it.

I would suggest not to turn *meatless monday* into macaroni and cheese day😏
