@BirkiLady.  I got mine at Walgreens but didn't get any coupon.

I got both the flu and Covid together last year with no problem.  Walgreens seems to have major problems with their computer system everytime I go in there, same thing last year.

Dang! I never should have mentioned that $20 credit per shot!! Wonder if all the Walgreens in your area have problems with their computers or just the store near you? That sucks if it was advertised locally like it was here.

I have taken a flu shot 4 times and twice immediately after taking the shot, I had the flu.

I very reluctantly took the 2 covid shots when Covid first hit. I still got Covid.

So, I am now a NO VAX person.

Neither one of us had that and we had the covid booster same time.

@Kachina624  It's too bad you didn't hear that one of the directors from the CDC came out and said that he wouldn't advise people to get theFlu shot and the Covid booster the same day. The reason being is that if you happen to hav a reaction they can't know which shot caused it.

@Tinkrbl44 you are so lucky to have a Dr with a brain..A Dr that actually listens. 2 yrs ago my husband had Shingles and our Dr was talking about the Shingles shot,1st he told my husband that it would be a waste to get the shot because you already got the virus and little chance you will ever get it again.Then he talked to me and asked me and I said NO THANKS. AND he said NO PROBLEM.He then proceeds to tell me that it's 2 shots and that he has had Patients that actually got the Shingles Virus after taking the shot. I then said again NO THANK YOU.

My husband was in ER because of pain in his ribs-thought they were cracked. X-rays were negative, it was a bruise. The nurse mentioned shingles, but there was no rash, so that was ruled out.

My husband never had chicken pox, so he hadn't gotten the shingles vaccine. The nurse said that the vaccine doesn't prevent shingles, anyway. If getting it, the vaccine might lessen the severity of shingles, but that's not a guarantee, either. She didn't push the vaccine, left it up to individuals, as does my physician. I'm on the fence about getting it myself. Since it doesn't  guarantee anything, I'm reluctant.

Funny, but the shingles shot is the one I definitely wanted.  Even if the doc's patient got shingles later, I'm betting it was much milder than it would have been. 

I know a few people who've had shingles, and it's an awful experience.   

If I got the flu, I could tough it out.  If I got shingles, the after effects could linger for years.  No thank you!

If you'd gotten a shot (or two) and had a reaction, the injection site would usually be the tell tale indicator.
