I have my mammogram every year.I heard stories of women who found cancer after having clean mammograms

That happened to someone I know. She literally found a lump in her breast while getting dressed after she had just had a mammo and was told everything was fine.  She waited a week because she thought it was a cyst from her period but when it didn't go away, she went back to the doctor.

She was diagnosed with Stage 2(C) breast cancer.

DO NOT SKIP YOUR YEARLY MAMMOGRAM!!! I am 63  I faithfully have them yearly and last OCT. I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.  Very treatable and thank God it was found early...if I had waited another year it would have been much worse!  Take care of yourself!!

So if a stage 2 tumor was found after a mammogram.. by her finding a lump ..she should sue the technician!  What good is having a mammogram and not knowing what is really going on? Why bother in that case. A mammogram seems to give women a false hope.....  so you have a clear mammogram but hey, you still could have breast cancer.  That is  not good enough.  At least not for me. Women deserve better. But, until we complain enough, nothing will be down.  It is a man's world......

and, not enough emphasis is being put  on prevention....proven changes in diet and exercise to prevent the dreaded breast cancer. The information is out there....why is it not given out at the doctor's office?
