I made a post in August about having a mammogram and being scheduled over 2 months later for the diagnostic.

Yesterday, I had the diagnostic mammogram done as well as the ultrasound.  Four diagnostic images and two trips to the ultrasound room and about 3 hours later, I got the good news that I only have benign cysts.  I am very thankful.  I know I am Blessed.

I don't post on here a lot, but you ladies have been very kind and helpful when I do and I just wanted to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart.  And remember, be kind to yourself.  Take care you the way you think best.  God Bless!

I went through a similar scare.  I had the ultrasound and biopsy, and it turned out benign. I can’t help but feel for all of women that do not get the result we got. Heart

Re: Mammogram results

Wonderful news!  I know how nerve wracking it is.  One mammo I had I was even sent to a surgeon who - after checking my test results - said there was no reason for me to be there.  Still - better to be safe.

@GabbyAnn  So glad to hear your wonderful news!  I went through the same thing earlier this year and it was a tense time but, happily, received negative results.  I had 2 close friends who had been diagnosed with breast cancer several months before I went for my tests which added to my stress. All of that made me feel especially blessed with the good outcome. Wishing good health to all!

So happy for you.  Prayers do get answered.  Waiting for test results is agonizing.

@GabbyAnn That's great news!  Happy for you!  When I went for my mammogram beginning of October screening mammo showed a suspicious nodule.  They had me stay and take more imaging + ultrasound.  Those 2 exams didn't reflect the original finding.  Radiologist's report states low suspicion finding but his recommendation was for me to follow up in 6 months.  I can't believe they made you wait from August until now to do the diagnostic and ultrasound.  Very stressful but thankfully it all worked out.
