@Kachina624 I also only take those supplements as told to by my doctor and oncologist and will be on them for the rest of my life.
I don't know why people start taking things without checking with their health care provider, makes no sense to me.
I LOVE prunes and always have a bag of them on hand and have a few every couple of days. The do help but I just really like them.

Truth be told, most doctors who are not also Homeopathic docs have little to no knowledge of supplements. You should do your own research, some docs have not even heard of most supplements. They would rather stuff you with RX drugs. My hubby and i are seniors and we take lots of supplements.

@Love my grandkids My mom often served stewed prunes as a breakfast fruit so I've always liked them too.

Magnesium comes in many different forms.
I take magnesium glycinate each day. It does many different things for me.
I have fibromyalgia and it is something that helps with the muslce pain. I have had kidney stones in the past as well and magnesium is purported to help against them. (They are so PAINFUL). Some forms of magnesium can also help you relax to sleep. Magnesium also helps with blood circulation.
There is a book by Carolyn Dean that is the Miracle Magnesium that tells you about the value and the side effects of the mineral.

NO I do not. The only supplement I take are ones that my blood readings tell my doctor that mineral is low. Right now that would be zero.
"What is it good for"? Like many minerals it is necessary for your health. Low readings can cause porous bones(easier to break)/heart disease for another. You want more info, talk with your doctor when he gets your blood readings back from the Lab.
