[ Edited ]

ladies what is HHSN and why do you like it?

I tried his hair skin and nails and it actually make me sick to my stomach. I do like his CoQ10 and haven't had any problems with a reaction but have always been nervous about trying other stuff of his after getting sick from his Hair skin and nails.

ETA: nevermind I looked on HSN and saw that it stands for Healthy Hair, Skin and Nails, which is what made me sick so pass for me.

I am surprised he is shipping the chocolate over the summer because he said he wouldn't ship it in summertime.

Unless he's doing an advanced order thing.

Seems odd.

His blog shows it will ship end of July in a cooler with ice packs. It will air Sat at 11:30 eastern for about 8 mins. He wanted to introduce the new milk/dark chocolate & extreme chocolate, take reviews & decide what he needs for his Oct show. His blog is on his site at procapslabs.com click the B icon at the bottom of the right side of the page next to the F icon (Facebook).

Is it real chocolate or chocolate flavor? I eat cocoa nibs almost daily for the same benefits but it would be nice to have a little chocolate individual snack like this on days I don't eat something I can mix my nibs in with.

It is real chocolate and it is delicious.  Dark chocolate flavor with the texture of milk chocolate (creamy, not hard like some dark chocolate).

Thanks for the tip.  I had not heard about that.  I will find it and record it for weekend viewing.

@VaBelle35, sorry for the late reply but -- between Wimbledon, the Tour De France and Andrew Lessman (lol, oh yeah, and Wen Gallons Month) and life in gereral -- I'm way behind in my posting. Smiley Wink

The PSB special: Eat Dirt with Dr. Josh Axe. looks top be chock full of great info.-- Dr. Axe was recently on the Dr. Oz Show and I was very impressed. He seems like a very easy going, very nice, knowledgeable guy.

I think this is a new PSB special so it may be a while before it reaches your region. -- I remember there was one PBS special you mentioned last year and it took about six months before it showed up in my neck of the woods.

When I spoke with the Procaps Labs rep tonight, he told me that there were two very short (4 minutes) PhytoCeramides presentations on Andrew's show calender:

* Sunday, July 10th -- midnight - 1am ET -- at the very end of the show, after the TSV presentation

* Saturday, July 16th -- midnight - 1am ET -- at the very end of the show, after the TSV presentation

My note: sometimes the midnight presentation goes a bit long, so if you are DVRing the show then you may want to add an additional 5 minutes just to be on the safe side

btw, if you DVRed the midnight ET TSV show last night, the PhytoCeramides presentation was in the last ten minutes. -- Lots of great medical charts & journals info. Smiley Happy

just happened on the disussion .  i had looked for phytoceramides from Andrew after reading about them on the Beauty Board a couple years back.

"facelift in a bottle" is how they were described on the Doctors and Dr Oz (neither hosts made the claims, there were PS who appeared on the show who did)

this is the Beauty thread:

they mention there are both wheat based and rice based ceramides . (Andrew offers wheat only)

Re: Lessman July schedule is up

For all who are last year got the special of Cranberry Benefits and are waiting for another special, I just ordered 3 of the 240 count bottles which makes it 720 capsules.

The price is less than I paid for the 600 count TSV last year.

What I just wrote may sound a bit garbles, but I saved quite a bit over the TSV.

@VaBelle35 oh okay thank you. This weekend though, not next, right? I thought he was only going to be on this weekend?

@HappyDaze, Andrew sometimes includes some extra shows during the year but, for a number of years now, he's had four major visits to HSN each year... for two weekends at a time. -- For each visit, he has one TS for the first weekend and a second TS for the second weekend.

This is Andrew's approximate annual schedule:

* January -- more or less the two middle weekends -- sometimes there is a third weekend TS schedule a week or two after that -- Secure meal replacement is usually offered as is Circulation & Vein, sometimes Glucosamine/Chondroitin is the third TS

* April -- usually the middle two weekends -- usually Omega-3 & Ultimate Eye

* July -- usually the middle two weekends -- Usually Healthy Hair, Skin & Nails, plus an additional TS

* October -- usually the middle two weekends -- usually COQ10, plus another TS which is frequently either Vitamin D or Calcium/Magnesium

* generally some sort of holiday special scheduled somewhere between the last ten days of November and the first week of December -- not a TS  but frequently a variety packs value (either 8 or 16 different supplements).

@HappyDaze, I'm wondering if it might be the sulfur content in the MSM that made you sick to your stomach.

The reason I mention this is that about 10 years ago, Andrew offered the HHSN with a bonus of NAC which is also a sulfur supplement. -- lol, when you opened the huge bottle, it really did smell. Smiley Wink

I didn't mind it but a number of other folks did. -- It's one of the few times I remember reading a number of complaints about one of Andrew's products. Based on the complaints, I think there were a number of returns. Needless to say, NAC was never again added to the HHSN as a "bonus". Smiley Wink

If the sulfur is the issue, then I just wanted to mention that MSM (another sulfur supplement) is a bonus ingredient in next weekend's Marine Collagen TS. -- MSM is nowhere near as stinky as NAC is, but it still is a form of sulfur and I don't know if it would make your stomach queasy.
