LESSMAN MEAL REPLACEMENT BARS?

Just looked at the ad for his Secure Meal Replacement bars ..... only 7g of protein?

Have you tried them?

Does anyone think only 7 grams of protein is enough for any meal?

@Tinkrbl44 For me 7-8 grams is a good amount of protein. My husband prefers 10-12.

IMO, they're no better than a candy bar.

So are gummies that people are popping into their mouths nonstop.  Candy.

I really wanted to like them. I couldn't eat them.

I tried his first version of these and didn't like them.  There was an aftertaste; I think it was the stevia.  Supposedly he has replaced stevia with a little sugar.  However, when I did eat half a bar, which was the portion, I'd say it satisfied my hunger only for about an hour.

I really like them and am glad I got several boxes before he took a break from making them in order to put them in smaller individual packaging and to take care of the Stevia by switching in a small amount of sugar.

I went ahead and ordered some more thru ProCaps, who has them up on their website for sale already.

Anyone know why the choices are just the chocolate and the coconut this time, and don't include the peanut?

@Tinkrbl44

So disappointed.

I am not trying to skip a meal to lose weight.

I am in the camp of hectic schedules that have me skipping a meal and wanting an easy, healthy thing I can quickly grab. Healthy something.

Besides the low protein, he added sugar and there's fat.

Yuck.

Not much choice. If you don't like chocolate, you're eating coconut.

I really like them and feel 7 grams of protein is good for a snack.  Zero cholesteral and zero trans fats, lots of vitamins/minerals.  I think they are pretty good for when you just need a pick me up.  I have to travel with bars as DH gets hypoglycemic very easily, he's a "grazer" by nature and needs to eat every couple of hours.  These are great, easy to carry in my backpack for travel or my purse for errands.  I love Andrew Lessman's products!

@1Professor  Hi! Did you try them the first time he presented them, and didn't like them, or is it that you just don't like the fact that he has now put sugar in them?

I heard his presentation last year when he mentioned that he didn't want to put sugar in them, but because of the reviews he received, he would be adding a bit in.

And also the other thing he changed because of reviews was to have them individually packaged instead of two-in-one-bar.
