Woke up Friday morning with a head cold - stuffed up head, cough, scratchy throat.

Ugh.  Instead of going for the horrible stuff from the drugstore which makes me crazy I decided to try a "natural" approach.

1/4 cup hot water

1/4 cup Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

Scant 1/4 teaspoon ginger (or entire 1/4 teaspoon if you can take the heat!)

Scant 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne (or entire 1/4 teaspoon if you can handle it!)

1 tablespoon local, good quality honey (none of that mass produced junk!)

1/4 fresh lemon squeezed

Stir and drink while it's warm, 3x a day.

I can't believe how quickly it worked to relieve my symptoms and I'm just about brand new.

I also have been taking zinc carnosine twice a day and a few drops of OIl of Oregano under my tongue (YOWEEE!!!) 3x a day.

Went to a New Year's Day Party yesterday and felt almost like my old self!

I gave up on OTC stuff.

I stick with this as my main go to:

I also like a eucalyptus and peppermint oil mix on a warm wash cloth.  Helps open things up.

I also like calendula tea.  It's an anti-inflammatory.

Ah, yes, I use the NeilMed, too.  Been using it twice a day, along with the Super Drink.

And I have been putting eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, and tea tree oil on a tissue and inhaling.  Haven't needed that today, though, as my Super Drink has really opened up my head.

@QueenDanceALot  Maybe you ought to call and give your remedies to the Queen.   She's still sick with her cold.

I'm trying  something  different  this year. When  anyone felling like they are getting a head cold I've been giving them an allergy pill. Poof it's gone. Seams like we go weeks and weeks with running  noses and coughing.  Thought I would  try something  else and low and behold it work. Hopefully  it might work for you.

I used to use it daily, just a few drops as a supplement, or when I felt "something" coming on.  Then I just let it go by the wayside.

From all I've read about it, it has powerful antibacterial AND antiviral properties.

Maybe it worked because what you've had were allergies, not a cold.  Symptoms can certainly be similar.
