Thanks @tansy   I haven't heard of her but I'll check her out.  Hubby and I will be on a long drive today so I can put my iPad to good use.

The Keto Dad has good, easy recipes. I used to follow him on Facebook but had to stop because his approach to keto is wrong.  He recommends foods with bad ingredients and then says you can make everything better by drinking exogenous ketones that he happens to sell.  Exogenous ketones are a scam if ya asks me. All they do is show up on a pee strip, they do not put your body into ketosis.

So, keto friends, how did you manage on Thanksgiving?  Did you do ok or did you blow it?  I ate the right kinds of food just too much of it.  My downfall was having some cottage cheese at noon to hold me over until dinner was ready.  Because of that macros were off for the day.  Back in line yesterday, though, taking an extra T. of MCT oil, pushing extra water, taking my electrolytes.  I don’t think I was knocked out of ketosis but If I was this will all help to get me back there.

Did you try any new keto recipes this year?  Last year was our first Thanksgiving on keto.  I was still learning and hadn’t really experimented with many recipes yet.  This year I’ve added several recipes to my arsenal.  Thursday was the first time I made keto dressing and keto gravy. I was impressed.  No, the dressing wasn’t like our family recipe but it was better than not having any. My gravy was very flavorful from the pan drippings and just thickened with a little xanthan gum.  It worked beautifully.  We’re having leftovers tonight.

Keto on!
