No suggestions for a fast recovery as bones take time heal.  Just follow the medical professionals' instructions.

@Luvsmyfam  Oh noooo...  nothing to offer to speed up your recuperation. Wish I lived next door and could pop over and make some tea. Until then ~ let's count our blessings.

How terrible and painful.

However, as they say, use the lemons to make lemonade.

No need to try to recuperate faster, instead, use your time off to:

Watch on demand the movies you missed at the theater.

Binge watch all the TV programs you hear about but never get to see.

Learn a new skill online:  a foreign language--stock market trading--online English tutoring.

Study some simple crafting workshops and create all your  homemade holiday gifts on a low budget!

Meet a friend for lunch.

Check in by email weekly with work colleagues to keep up with the news.

Take some long, peaceful walks in your neighborhood.

Reorganize rooms and declutter.

Sort through clothes and shoes you do not need/wear anymore.

Listen to famous classical and modern music and learn all the composers.

Experiment with some new recipes.

ETC.   The list is endless!!!

Hope you get well soon, but take time to fully heal.

Re: Just my luck

[ Edited ]

@Luvsmyfam

I am so sorry about your broken wrist. I broke my wrist about 8 years ago and my surgeon used screws to mend the break. I was able to go back to work in 2 days. I also asked for a splint vs a cast as I knew I would get claustrophobic about a cast.

Healing was quick because of how my surgeon repaired the break. I was able to type and drive so was not work limited.

Good luck with your healing. Hope the pain dissipates soon.

When I had neck fusion done, they encouraged consuming a little extra protein for healing. Maybe someone in your family can get you some canned protein drinks and you have one or two a day.  Even so, don't rush anything.  Your doctor should be able to prescribe a stronger pain reliever for you, but you need to be careful as they are a controlled narcotic and are addictive.

@Luvsmyfam.  Sorry to hear of your mishap but you'll hav3 to just let Mother Nature take her course.

Can your grandson pitch in and help with chores, cooking, etc.?

@Luvsmyfam What a shame! Your grandson needs to pitch in and help you. He is, isn't he?
