What wonderful news to wake up to.  I checked last night to see if there were any updates, and was praying that everything was improving.

Very glad that you are now able to post, and I hope that you will continue to heal and before you know it, your past few weeks will just be a memory.

Your daughter must be so relieved that you are doing better, I believe everyone's prayers made a difference!

@jubilant

How good to read you are home.  Please take it slowly and hopefully each day will find you stronger. You have been through so much these last few weeks.  The most positive thing was we got to meet your lovely daughter.

Welcome home @jubilant

@jubilant I'm so thankful that the worst is behind you and you can now recover fully at home. So sorry for the added complications! That had to be scary, though I know you knew you were never alone in your suffering. Giving thanks for how your blockages were discovered--safely in the hospital--and for your progress thus far. I, and so many you have touched, will continue to hold you and your family in our prayers. Looking forward to hearing more from you when you are feeling much better.

Many thanks to your daughter for keeping us updated through this difficult time.

This is such wonderful news to read that you're home now! Giving thanks that God brought you through the worst of it.  I know you have lots of healing to do now. Having been in the hospital myself, I can say that there is no place like home. Welcome home, @jubilant.

I am finally home from the hospital just yesterday!  Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts.  I am most appreciative for them. The good news is my heart surgery was successful. I had my first heart attack Sept. 21 so it has been a long stay in the hospital.  Two of my main arteries were 99% blocked and two were over 80% blocked.  I ended up with an Ileus....which made me violently ill for quite some time.  I got the tubes taken out of my nose and put back in a couple of times before it was all over.  I ate my first solid food and had my first drinks (outside of ice chips) day before yesterday.  My chest wall was so sore due to lots of vomiting.  I am finding the leg pain quite excruciating.  My poor husband and daughter are exhausted.  I still am not able to eat much but they tell me that will come.  I am thankful to God for sparing my life....although, I have to admit, there were moments when I just wanted to go!  Guess He isn't finished with me quite yet!

            Hello, @jubilant!   I am dreadfully far behind in reading threads and surely will never catch up, but I'm so glad to find your update.   I had posted on @SassyLassy's previous thread and didn't see this one.   Oh, my, what a difficult odyssey.   I'm so sorry, and I do hope each day brings substantially greater strength, healing, and freedom from pain, discomfort, and worry.    Your daughter was a champion, keeping us updated and being such help and solace to you and your husband.   You must be so proud, as she is of you.    You're a remarkable, inspirational woman, and I fully understand and appreciate many of the reasons "He isn't finished" with you quite yet.   You have gifts to share, and you are generous and compassionate.    I never stopped praying for you, for your family, and for the medical team who were such an important part of your journey.    I continue to pray for you as you greet each day with hope and faith.   Take gentle care.❤️

Stopping in here, especially to check on you, Jubilant. Can’t tell you how sorry I am for all you've been through lately. This was a big surgery, then an intestinal blockage to boot. All this, plus your husband's battle—and so soon after losing your father.

You have come through it all, with your beautiful faith intact. I give thanks and will continue to pray for your recovery, courage and strength.

@jubilant   I have been so wrapped up in our problems, that I missed this thread entirely.  Learning that you took the time to reassure me about our troubles all the while dealing with your own scares and challenges says so much about your empathy for others.

May God bless your full recovery, Jubilant.  And remember, "God will take care of you, too."  Woman Wink
