Hello all:
Hopefully, posting a topic about job satisfaction is relevant to the Wellness Board--my apologies if posting this here distrubs someone.
I am 20 years at the same job and still enjoy some aspects of it. However, due to budgetary cuts and administrative changes, the job is less pleasurable, and some days, I dread getting out of bed to go to work. Next year, more changes and budgetary constraints are already on the horizon, which means in order to survive, the employees will offer less productivity and creativity, simply because there will not be enough of us to handle the additional workload--something will have to give.
As I have started looking at other jobs available, I am disheartened to find that most other positions would not allow me to pay my bills ( I am a single income earner). Therefore, leaving me feeling more trapped than ever. SO, I was wondering if any of you have experienced similar situations and how you changed your perspective to remain grateful and not bitter and burned out.
Thank you for listening/reading.
