Inversion Tables not created equal

[ Edited ]

We recently purchased an inversion table but not the famous brand from Joe Teeter. A friend has that one and ouch very uncomfortable with that hard plastic and ankle holds and floppy feel to the table.  Having tried theirs we instead chose a model that has a cushioned backpad as well as head rest. Also, the ankle holds are a completely different style and do not hurt when you tip backward.  Finally, the table is not floppy; we have complete control of it without any sudden changes in movement.  Note: we are both in our mid 60's and are able to use this on our own without any assistance.  Regarding the vertigo issue...,we control how quickly we bring the table back up and not once did it induce vertigo in either of us and yes we both are prone to it when we wake up in the morning  Further note: the inversion table had a bit of trouble in transit and the box arrived pretty beat up which resulted in a rip in the backpad.  Each piece of the inversion table including the backpad is assigned a part number and the vendor ships out free of charge replacements to any piece that is damaged.  The gash has been temporarily taped up until our new backpad arrives.  It does not impede the ability to use and enjoy our inversion table.  HTH for all who may be interested

Love my Teeter inversion table. Use it all the time. Great for relaxing before going to bed. I get a kick out of how tall I walk after being on it for just 3-5 minutes. ha! It does help you to straighten out.

Glad you like it.  Everyone has different tastes, needs and comfort zones. Also, the Teeter brand is outrageously expensive while ours was over $150 but under $200.  Have not seen that price for Teeter ever...maybe years and years ago before it ever became something we were interested in but I doubt it.

@agb80 sounds like I have the same one as you.  It was way less than a Teeter and I love it.  Very comfy.

Re: Inversion Tables not created equal

Bought my husband the Joe Teeter inversion table and paid $550 as it was the top of the line.  My husband loves it and gets relief for his herniated back.  It is well worth it for him to be pain free.

@agb80

I bought a Teeter top of the line. Think it was 2018 after I talked my doctor into getting off Blood Pressure meds. Waited till they had a sale on HSN and jumped on it.

Some of the ones I have seen? No way you would see me get into 1 of those things, and I am far from overweight. Haven't read your post or anyone else's, saw the thread title and hit reply.

Will read the others later, got things in the washer to take care of for awhile.

We love our Teeter Hangups. It's stable not floppy. It's medical grade equipment so put's your mind at ease getting on it. I would not get on one otherwise.
