Hi Chickies! I remember your post and may have even replied but I can't find it now. I went to the Dr. today and he had pages fo bloodwork I had done last week. I am also diabetic and have arthritis. He told me I have some very elevated markers in my blood indicating inflamation, cortisol, enzymes and proteins. My blood sugars are not good. I am on 5 meds and insulin for that. as well as high blood pressure meds and meds for my heart(I had a heart attack 3 yrs ago) I cannot take any narcotic pain meds because of a previous dependancy. We are adjusting all my diabetes meds and changing some over the next few weeks. Beccause of the blood work he insisted that I should start taking Abilify for the Fibro. Right now I take nothing. He said the stress of the Fibro on my system and the lack of sleep is cousing too many problems. I eat few carbs(bad for diabetes & fibro) exercise as much as I can by stretching and walking. I'm on the fence. I don't want my health to get any worse but I'm afraid of Lyrica. I have taken about 8 or 9 different meds for fibro before my heart attack and none helped. I would like your opinions please.
