Re: I have a UTI

[ Edited ]

@I am still oxox  I was in your shoes recently and that Bactrim killed my stomach. OMG the abdominal pain it caused! Sometimes it kept me awake at night. My doctor switched me to a different antibiotic but I don't remember the name and tossed the container just a few days ago.

Going to see if it's listed on My Chart, if so will come back and tell you what it was in case your abdomen starts really hurting you might want to ask to get changed. If I don't edit this post to tell you that means I couldn't find it on My Chart.

Edit - Name was Nitrofurantoin & in parenthesis says macrocrystal-monohydrate

It was such a relief to stop taking the Bactrim and get rid of the abdominal pain it brought on.

My goodness girl, you have had a time!

Last time I had a UTI a few months ago, my DIL told me she's prone to have them and takes a cranberry pill every day.  That can't hurt you, so I added them to my daily routine.

It must be so hard to have daily use of a catheter for so many months.

Hope all the doctors are onboard and providing good solutions.

Rest well.
