I tried to look this up but couldn't find the answer. I can drink orange juice and lemonade and not get heartburn but yesterday I put a drop of Mio Blueberry Lemonade liquid water enhancer in my water and got heartburn almost immediately. I also get it from bottled green teas with citrus. Anyone else have this issue.

I use Mio and do not get heartburn. I do get heartburn frequent heartburn, esp with medications. I guess different things effect each person individually. If it gives you heartburn, don't use it. I just take Tums and it works great for me.

Some of the other flavors don't cause it. Something that is in this one does. Of course if I can remember to not buy it again I won't use it. I was only wondering if maybe someone had a clue what ingredient might be the issue. Maybe it's the coloring.

@Lali1 I use Andrew Lessman's Digest Assure which prevents burn from fatty or acidic food, such as butter, blueberries, etc

I get heartburn from drinking just plain water sometimes! Crazy.

Now that you mention it me too. Maybe it's the water and not the drops. I only used one drop which is hardly any flavor.

I take daily heartburn prescribed meds and I can eat/drink almost anything - except Dr. Pepper! It makes my whole chest hurt.

For me it helps a lot to sip a little bit of water instead of drinking a glass full all at once. I'll drink about 8-oz over a span of an hour, sipping small amounts to avoid the heartburn. If I guzzle down a cup all at once then that's when I usually get in trouble.

It happened yesterday and I drank through a straw. I wonder if that makes a difference? I don't think I drank it fast.

I have a hiatal hernia which keeps my stomach valve open. Some foods or drinks bother me even with taking anti reflux meds. Tea and coffee irritate my stomach or give me reflux. I wonder if there is manmade sugar in those drops that might do it? Today I forgot to take my antacid med on time and the fresh blueberries and raspberries were doing it to me. Never have before but it alerted me that I forgot the meds.
