I Had a sonogram and Ct scan done

I had a sonogram last week and they found something on my liver, so my dr scheduled a ct scan had that yesterday and I got the result today and they said inconclusive does anyone know what that means and now he wants me to see a surgeon I dont understand maybe somebody that had a similiar issue explain it to me.
