You're choosing to participate in something that is owned by someone else. You don't pay a monthly membership fee to post here. Nothing "unfair" about it.

Personally I don't think anyone should speak with such authority about what the mods will or will not do.
I once asked them why my post was "poofed" and it was reinstated.

@Tinkrbl44 How many times do you have to send me the same message, I understood you the first time. I am neither stupid

My 2 cents.
When someone reports a post, it brings the moderator to the thread. Someone must have reported something within the thread and there may have been a few not-so-friendly replies that caused the mod to put the kibosh on the whole thing.
It happens. It sounds like it wasn't anything you did. Someone got their feelings hurt and decided to complain.

I think it depends on the moderator. Some just delete the post(s) others delete the whole thread.

Yep, try 'arguing with the moderator' and that should really seal the deal !

@They Call Me MR Wilkes wrote:A poster absolutely can question via email. Airing in public is frowned upon.
I have done so several times and received fairly detailed explanations with 24-36 hours.
One might not agree, but the explanation was provided.
I also have experienced this. Sometimes they will answer; sometimes they won't.
I once started a thread that was pretty innocuous. The discussion was fine at first. I had to leave for a while. When I came back the thread had been deleted. I just couldn't understand why.
The Social Team member who received my email said it was deleted due to a few posts that took it in a different direction.
That's my problem. I understand the rules, but I'm also a curious person in general. I always want to know "why"!
