I thank you all for your prayers and well wishes for my husband who has been undergoing tests for cancer. The GI doctor called and said the biopsy results of one of the polyps removed during the endoscopy indicates a carcinoid tumor. Apparently it is rare and slow growing. Two days ago he underwent a CT guided liver biopsy of the mets to the liver. Those results I expect to get next week when we see the oncologist. So we are still in a waiting period.

Two days ago my husband received notification from the company he has worked for for the last 32 years is reducing the workforce by 10% nationwide. They are starting with employees with over 20 years of service. So it is looking like he will be out of work starting in July. It doesn't bother me that much. He was planning to retire in three years. I work part time at the hospital and thankfully I have medical benefits I don't have to pay for. If he is laid off he can focus on treatment and recovery. Plus we will have more time together!

The kicker is that three days ago I started having some post menopausal vaginal bleeding. I had a hysteroscopy with biopsies in October. I had a few polyps that were removed and were benign. My GYN had an opening tomorrow morning. So I will see him then. I am concerned because my mom died of uterine cancer three years ago. I wish I could have a hysterectomy and not deal with a uterus anymore.

I feel I am under a dark black cloud that I cannot escape. Am I being punished in some way?
