I had my hip replaced after passing out and falling it’s been a month I’m mobile and no pain but the swelling is horrible specially after being up for hours can anybody share their experience if they have been thru the hip surgery

@Aless1   I had both hips replaced...the left in 2008 and the right in 2017.  I never had unusual swelling after the surgery.

 

My left hip was done with the posterior method and the right hip was done with the anterior method.

 

What does your surgeon say about the swelling in the area?

Thank you for sharing your experience I’m told is part of the healing but I’m going to call Monday and see if I can go in before my next appointment which is in two weeks thank you again for your help it might have something to do with my kidney I have kidney stones which I’m having surgery for in about 10 days

And thank you everyone for good wishes I need them it’s a miracle I survived going into septic shock but I’m having a really hard time dealing with the recovery

Have you tried sleeping with your legs elevated?

@Aless1 You have been through a lot with another surgery to come.  I think you are wise to make an earlier appointment.

If you don't feel well today Sunday you may want to go into urgent care.

 

You've listed three very serious medical issues with the sepsis, kidney stones and swelling resulting from a surgery. 

 

I wouldn't wait for just phoning on Monday.  This sounds more urgent.
