I agee with your PVC assessment. Irregular A-Fib, if I was or ever was experiencing them? I would be surprised if my Cardiologist did not offer me the same choice as @Poodlepet2 Cardiologist.

I've had a problem with feeling of fluttering in my throat for years--and occasional chest pain--since I was in my 30's (am 60 years old now). Stress tests fine--EKG's fine---finally had a holtor monitor and it showed PAC's--premature atrial contractions--which would account for my symptoms. A benign condition--just annoying--especially if I drank tea--coffee never exacerbated the feeling. Have been taking the drug Toprol XL for years and it alleviated the fluttering, tachycardic feeling----only feel it after times of extreme stress and even then, only rarely. It's smart to get any heart symptoms checked out!!

151949, the technology has totally changed. At first I groaned mildly when told I needed long term monitoring. My recorder arrived in the mail-complete with a pre-paid box to mail it back in. I also received a set of electrodes with instructions for placement. The small recording device fit neatly into my pocket and best of all I could shower and swim: all I had to do was disconnect the leads. Initially, I was supposed to wear it for three days but my doctor extended my time with no office visit.

Keep in mind, cardiologists can only treat what they can see on EKG-I love the new advances that have been made.

I've had this for years and, from what I've heard, it doesn't seem that unusual at all. I get the skips and the flutters. Both are kind of weird, but I'm used to them.

@chickenbutt He is doing fine. I'm sure our Dr would have sent him for tests if she had any doubts

I will second what most everyone said.

As an RN who has spent much time seeing cardiac monitors, just about everyone has an occasional skipped beat. Many people don't even feel them.

They become a problem if they are too fast, too slow, too frequent, too many at one time, always irregular, or cause symptoms. Otherwise, we all have them.
