I would like to go just one or two weeks WITHOUT a doctor's appointment...and I'd like to NOT have to search my calendar for a date that doesn't conflict with my DH or my sister's schedule.

@GoneButNotForgotten.  But don't you feel fortunate and grateful to live in a country where you have decent medical care?

Re: Grumble grumble grumble!

I feel for ya.

Several years ago I was very ill. I was sooooofortunate to have a doctor at The Big Money Machine Clinic. 🙄

Week after week, month after month with no treatment and no improvement. I was exhausted being the Very Nice Compliant Patient.

I eventually quit and found a doctor outside of The Machine that actually gave a care.

You forgot to include the stool, urine and blood samples that need to be submitted before the doctor's appointment.  It is not fun. Smiley Surprised

I wish I could say I don't know what you are talking about, but sigh, I do know how complicated it gets. My September and most of October is a kaleidoscope of Dr appointments in different colors. My dh, dh's aunt, myself and grandbabies.

And yes, I am very grateful for the good care we all do receive.

So sorry you have to go through that. Doesn't sound like much fun.

I hate going to the doctor once per year so I can get my thyroid medication refill.

Sounds like you need a break. Can you just not schedule any appointments for 2 weeks or more?

Re: Grumble grumble grumble!

Sister, I can relate to that!  Between my three different eye specialists, cardiologist, endocrinologist, weight loss specialist and a couple of others;  I have a couple of medical visits a week.  Thank heavens for my smart phone that I use to manage all this.  But I'm actually very happy and grateful to be living and aging in these times with modern medical care.

Re: Grumble grumble grumble!

@GoneButNotForgotten AND it seems like every Doctor's appointment, the Doctor wants you to go for additional tests and see another Specialist.

I feel like visiting all these Doctors is becoming a part time job.
