Great News-MRSA Gone!

[ Edited ]

My gastroenterologist's office called. My lab tests from this week are in. All intestinal MRSA is gone...no more bugs. Tomorrow I see the oncologist to discover what he wants to do about the two small spleen spots found on the abdominal CT scan taken at the ER. It's just a recommended prudent step my docs want me to take since I once had melanoma and they want to be sure those two small spots are cysts and nothing more.

Say a little prayer that I can put behind me this miserable and mysterious MRSA ordeal that ruined my holidays and my birthday. I still have my husband's neurological exam coming up in March, due to his short term memory issues, but dealing with one serious health issue at a time is less daunting than juggling multiple fears...beyond what my mental health, let alone physical, can handle.

Right now I'm planning to return to my exercise classes and my Weight Watchers meetings next week. I'm still a little worn out but hope each day my strength returns bit by bit. Thanks to all of you for your comfort and support. I appreciated every word.

Hi @Vivian. I've previously read your posts about your struggles with MRSA and I wanted to let you know I'm so happy to read this post that your MRSA is gone! Here's hoping your spots on your spleen are nothing. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Certainly prayers for you.  I pray there is no evidence of a malignant lesion, that you will have a completely cancer-free workup and you will have a perfectly wonderful year thereafter and congratulations on the MRSA negativity and may it remain so.

Wonderful news Vivian.  MRSA is hard to beat.  You must have a very strong immune system.  Good for you!!

Wonderful news and I know our QVC group prayers helped with the marvelous outcome.

Many thanks for the update, and again great news Vivian, but, please still take it slowly, until you regain all your strength and endurance..... and enjoy all your upcoming endeavors.
