I think it depends on your state. Last I heard all that wanted a shot should be able to get one by the end of May.

Through our local hospital and much to my surprise, I was able to get an appointment for my first shot tomorrow.

Go to your State's COVID website for the answer.

@MW in Iowa.  It depends on the situation in your state and seems to vary wildly.  Seems as though anyone can get one in Texas or Florida.  We have people in NM driving 4+ hours to Amarillo to get a shot.  No residency requirement.

The announcement yesterday with Johnson and Johnson and their joint venture with Merck, they are now operating 2 new manufacturing plants,24 hours a day, seven days a week.

President Biden has made the goal that a vaccine will be available for every adult by the end of May.

Everyone in WV has to register thru a state website which kicks our info to the health department in the county where we reside.   Lists are compiled and maintained from online registrations.   We are called with appt information when our registry appears on their list.

I've been on the list a month now, and hope I don't get a call until my county has the one shot option available, and gives me that choice.
