@sunshine45 - ghee is nothing more than clarified butter.  Adding good fats (MCT oil, ghee, quality butter, heavy whipping cream) will keep one satitiated, but more importantly the fats feed the brain.

yes, i knew it was clarified butter because i sometimes cook with it. around our area it is also popular to dip steamed lobster, steamed clams, blue crabmeat into clarified butter. i just dont see why it needs to go into coffee? cant you just slather a bit on toast?

Not if you aren't eating toast or other bread products.  And some people  are fasting in the morning.  Small amounts of good fats won't break a fast.

I forgot what that's called ....  is it "alternative fasting"?

@Tinkrbl44 - it's called Intermittent Fasting (IF for short).  It's a designated period of not eating and a designated eating window.  The longer one fasts, the better one gets into the process called autophagy.  Autophagy begins at 18 hrs.  Water, coffee, and tea are  OK during the fasting period.  Some fats are OK, but no food or protein mixed into the AM coffee if that's your fasting period,
