Anyone out there using gelatin for joint (knee) pain relief?  Weight loss? Stumbled across the TV doctor that was touting bone broth and said the gelatin is the helpful ingredient.   Not interested in making broth (especially in summer), but would like help with joint pain.   Was thinking gelatin capsules.

@MalteseMomma, thanks for the tip! I have one knee that bothers me. The orthopedic doc says it is just the knee cap. Will give it a try.

What does your doctor say is the source of your pain?  Other than that I will say only this: weight loss, no matter your weight, will usually help ease pain in every weight bearing joint(spine) in one's body.

I don't believe in 99.9% hype of eating this or not eating that. I am very familiar with how much even a few pounds can make, especially if the muscles surrounding that joint are not strong, to many factors of how the human body functions.

I myself prefer permanent relief when it is a feasible option, temporary is not my thing.

@MalteseMomma

I went to stoppain.com to check out the ingredients and noticed that it's NOT unscented.   Glad it works for you, but I don't want anything fragranced with menthol & eucalyptus.

My #1 best topical pain reliever is ASPERCREME .... I would say it reduces my pain by about 40%, which I think is considerable.   Best price I've found is $5 for a large tube at Walmart.

I think gelatin being used for anything other than salads was debunked years ago.  It's an incomplete protein and can't promote or contribute to the growth of anything.
