Gall Bladder Cleanse

Has anyone had success doing a gall bladder cleanse? My daughter is trying one because of problems. She had to drink pure grapefruit juice mixed with ginger followed by 3 Tbsp of olive oil. Last I talked to her, she was feeling nauseous. Just wondering if it's worth it. She doesn't have insurance, so surgery is out.
