I got my reg flu shot today too, but my dr didn't think it was a good idea for another shot along with it. So will wait to get the pneumonia one later.

Was that last winter so many people ended up in the hospital with the flu?

I had mine yesterday as well. Aside from minor soreness at the injection site, no other side effects noted.

@Group 5 minus 1,

Your reaction is very typical with a flu shot, along with tenderness and redness at injection site.   I suggest you take Tylenol or Aleve for a day or two.   I always take Aleve before and after any type of shot.

I have never had an adverse reaction to a flu shot, but I did with the pneumonia shots. I would never get them together at the same time. Even my doctor advised against it.

With the pneumonia shots, my arm was very sore and swollen for 4-5 days.

I promise to remind myself every day that I am strong, courageous, and resilient.

Last year I got both shots together on on each arm,  no problem, and again this year at our clinic, and the last of the pneumonia shots. No problems. And I was glad to get them both done with the same day.  I had a harder time with the shingle shot last year, my arm was red and sore.  Not taking the second one.

It could be you are feeling tired because you got both shots at the same time? I have never done that so I can only speculate. DH and I got our flu shots today. My arm is a bit sore....hopefully no ill effects tomorrow. I hope you get some good rest and feel better tomorrow!
