For those who are familiar with this probiotic, I am a little confused by the dosage.  Is it a maximum of 2 a day or 4 a day?  Thank you!

I would interpret the instructions as taking 2 tablets either once or twice a day for a maximum of 4.

That's what I thought.  I just started the antibiotic clindamycin and am taking this probiotic in conjunction with it.  I have been taking 2 capsules twice a day (4 total) but read just today to not take more than the recommended dosage, and I wanted to make sure I had interpreted the dosage correctly.

I was recently taking 2 tablets twice a day, but my gastro doctor told me to just take 1 tablet twice a day.  I was happy to hear that, since it's rather pricey.

Were you taking it with an antibiotic or just for general use?

I have been taking Florastor for a couple of years and take one a day unless I have been on an antibiotic and then I take 2.  As prescribed by my Dr.

I read the directions as take either 1 OR 2 pills a day either in 1 dose of 2 or 2 doses of 1. Check with your Dr or a Pharmacist.

I'm super pleased with it and buy it online at Costco when it is on sale, It is pricey, I agree.
