@EastCoastGal Yes a book that changed my life. No need to try and find a root cause...for me there was none lol. Just the way I was!
Here is the book
Im 30 something, and have dealt off and on for years with anxiety.
I recently found a site and amazing book that I ordered from Amazon.
It is super helpful! Called Dare by Barry
McDonagh.
I wish you the best!

I just ordered this book.. I hope it helps. My anxiety is creeping back. It's funny but when my granddaughters(ages 5 and 8) are here, I feel okay. Hugging their little bodies and interacting with them seems to take my anxiety away. They make the house feel alive. Sometimes I wonder if it's the loss I feel of not really being needed anymore that makes me so anxious(?)

@CherryHugs Your post did not go unnoticed by me. I took your suggestion and got the book. I am reading it slowly, chapter by chapter and then a break to absorb the lessons. Thank you for the heads up!

I've always had anxiety even when young. I've always dealt with by pushing through it. Doctors have recommended "anxiety pills." I've never taken them bc I can deal with it.
My doctor has said that I have "white coat" anxiety, where my blood pressure is always norml but goes sky high when I go to the doctors. It will go as high as 155, but is daily 117/77 on my Smart watch.
One time, my anxiety turned into Agoraphobia, didn't want to leave the house ever! I only felt safe at home. Wasn't working at the time, but had to go out for groceries and errands. The only way I would go out is with one of my children with me. Someone with me, took care of the problem. That lasted about six months and then went away. Over the years it returns. I have to push myself to go out, but I only feel safe at home. Having someone with me, I don't have panic attacks.
If you don't want to go out, you might want to look into agoraphobia.
