Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning, checking on with a strength training workout from Youtube...my legs are noodles and I have to improve my upper body strength too. I did all but 2 reps but she did 3 sets.

Freezing here this week with highs of 0 and below all week long...People's water lines are freezing and sewer lines too....not good.

Canine we are very glad to see you...Hey doing squats while making dinner, nothing wrong with that! Your not alone in the weather...you saw how cold it is here and for the entire week mind you!

Pppmint I sure hope DS has a good work week. I worry about the long hours also. I am glad you are there. Sorry Lucy had such a hard time...but she is happy now.

FUTURE glad to see you posting too. You put in a lot of miles and caught up with friends which is always nice.

nomless keep on going! I am right behind you.

Tony what a long rain delay. I almost forgot to keep checking back last night. Couldn't stay up for all of it. Although I didn't fall asleep until 1:30 am...I should have turned it back on.

Well shower time...have a great day!

Hi, all. It was cold and snowy after work, so instead of going out to the gym, I did a Coffey dvd. Combo moves, much different from what I've been doing. I'm glad telhe Olympics are over, I hope to get back into a consistent schedule.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Happy Snowy Tuesday! It's coming down hard here, the old snow is so dirty and nasty so it will be nice to see everything white again. Not getting as cold as they were calling for(teens this morning) so that's nice, my gf is excited because they've warmed up to -8* again. She called me while she was hiking the other day when it was -27*...even that might be too chilly for me and I'll go out in about anything.

I went to sleep after midnight and the grand-dog woke me up at 3, I fell back to sleep from 6 to 6:30 and now he's throwing-up and there was blood in it. He chewed up a new toy yesterday that I brought up with me so I'm wondering if that's it. I'll call the vet when they wake up. This is just going to be more stress for my son right before starting a new job.

I did 4 miles yesterday and a good weight work-out. It felt good to be back in a weight room. I can sure feel my shoulder whenever I do heavier weights though...right away.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

My chest and front delts are sore so I'm thinking about just doing a BodyStep class at my son and dil's gym. Will have to see what happens with the puking dog...ay. ALWAYS something.

nomless, I was wondering if you were having Olympic Withdrawals...lol?!

Stay warm everyone!! They said this cold snap is reaching all the way to the southern states again.

I am having Olympic withdrawl also...so is my dad!

Checking in with 2.5 miles on the treadmill running...

Did my grocery shopping this morning, and it is so cold out. Even DS said how cold it is...and he usually won't say anything..

PPPmint DS is feeling better and the job goes alright tomorrow. Also hope the pups are feeling better too. You need a good nights sleep!

Nomless are you going to the gym?

FUTURE hope the work week goes good for you!

Tony I to am wondering about the new format...Glad JR. won though!

Judy hi and waving to you

Canine go dance around the kitchen, it all counts!

Waving to all!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Patty, I hope DS is doing ok and hthat grand-pup is OK, too.

Hi, Bopper. Bopper's at the store....it must be Tuesday!

And dang, guys, it's cold here, too. They keep saying it will be warmer and sunny, and each day it's cold, cloudy, with a bit of snow. My patience is wearing thin! It's only a little above 0, I know I"m not going to want to go out to they gym after I get home. I know that cold weather is not an excuse, but it sure makes it harder.

I hope everyone is having a good day....

Re: February Exercise Thread

Oh my! We all have a lot going on here, don't we. Well, I guess this cold snap is what I get for bragging about my nice weather last week. Lol! Might even snow end of the week. Yesterday was really busy playing catchup -- today, too. But I managed to do something bike and/or treadmill both days. Not busting it, but doing SOMETHING. Tmrw is weights. Hoping things will slow down a little before the wknd. Patty, praying for you and sorry about DS (and the dogs!!) Hope his first days are smooth and that he feels great and eases in well. Bopper, girl, stay warm!!! I don't know about you, but I'm kind of tired of the cold, BUT I'm hoping it'll make for a mild summer. 120* plus humidity is NOT my idea of fun! Hi to tony and Nomless. Way to go, gals! And thanks for coming to see us, canine! I had to laugh at your angry tai chi. Sometimes you've just got to get it out!! Smiley Wink Adios!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Couldn't sign in here earlier.

Well, he's at the new job. He's still having some issues but not much you can do about it. He said he didn't sleep at all last night because he was so nervous...the steroids just make that worse. Thanks for prayers everyone.

Had a good work-out at the gym yesterday, my core, bi's, and tri's are sore and I did all kinds of intervals with running(1 mile in 9min including my warm-up), power-walking(1 mile in 13 minutes at an incline which was my hardest one) for a total of 5, then 1 mile on elliptical and 1 on bike for a cool down. The muscles in the front of my legs are sore which I know is from the power-walking...I love when they hurt, hard group to hit.

More snow coming and colder temps for us too...for about everyone I think. My gf said it was -30* wind chill again back home this morning. I see a lot of states are getting this round. I don't say much about the cold, I save that for the heat then I don't feel guilty.Wink I hope so too FUTURE but I've heard both ways as far as summer goes.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, I had trouble signing in too and getting the HD channel.

I did a strength workout today from Youtube and for some reason I had 2 voices talking at the same time and it was super annoying but I did it and tried to tune out the other voice. Maybe I'm going nuts with cabin fever and it was my "little voice" I heard LOL

Pppmint hope DS has a good first day of work. You had good workouts too.

Nomless yup I did go to the store Smiley Happy

FUTURE glad to see you are getting in the swing of things again...it sure is cold.

Judy waving to you.

Canine just dance around your kitchen I often do that..who cares haha.

Tony I am glad Jr. won. What a long delay though.

Waving to eveyone!
